English: How does the factory check concrete strength, and how should the readings be interpreted?
Answer: The company has a portable concrete rebound hammer. For routine checks before lifting, the minimum control reference is a rebound-derived estimated strength of 250 ksc. After one week of normal factory curing, the rebound-derived reference strength may reach approximately 400 ksc. Both figures are rebound-based estimates; actual results depend on curing and test conditions.
A rebound hammer checks the rebound response of the concrete surface. Estimating strength requires establishing a relationship between the rebound readings and the strength of the relevant concrete. Surface moisture, test direction and surface condition also affect the results. A compressive-strength test, by contrast, subjects concrete specimens to compression. Customers should review these two types of test information separately and check the test method, specimen form and age at testing.
Rebound-based estimates and the supplied concrete specification of 350 CUBE / 300 CYL should be understood separately. The actual lifting conditions also depend on the component structure, lifting-point arrangement and lifting plan. A single rebound reading is not sufficient to determine lifting suitability.
